A second is the SI unit of time; 60 seconds make one minute.
What it means
Seconds measure short amounts of time. A timer counts them one by one, and after 60 seconds the timer has measured a full minute.
Remember it
Count sixty steady seconds: they join to make 1 minute.
Example
A video lasts 2 minutes 15 seconds. Two minutes are 2 × 60 = 120 seconds, so the total is 120 + 15 = 135 seconds.
Watch for
