Watch: Watch whether the learner enters 15 after combining the two known groups; that response shows they found the known-part total but did not compare it with the whole of 17.

Misread: A learner may enter the whole of 17 instead of the missing triangle part, or may subtract only one known group. Responses 8 or 11 show that one known group was ignored, while 15 shows the learner combined the known groups but stopped before finding the triangle part.

Curriculum: This task uses a put-together/take-apart structure with an unknown part. It scores solving one missing-addend relation within 20 and entering the exact whole-number count.
