Watch: Watch whether the learner compares each vehicle’s body color before placing it. A complete correct partition—every vehicle used once and each color matched to the same labeled zone—is decisive evidence.
Misread: A learner who groups similar vehicle kinds or makes three equal pairs is using the wrong rule; a learner who leaves an object out has missed “use each once,” not the color classification.
Curriculum: This task assesses one-attribute classification and construction of a complete partition: sort six objects by body color into three named categories, using every object exactly once.
