Watch: Watch whether the learner checks the scale before reading Team E’s endpoint. An entry of 5 is decisive evidence that the learner found the small-step size but used it as the whole bar value.

Misread: Answers 15, 40, 10, or 30 usually come from reading another team’s bar; 20 or 30 can also mean stopping at a nearby labeled tick, while 5 means giving one scale step instead of Team E’s total. The question asks for Team E’s number of books, not a team count or a grid-space count.

Curriculum: This task assesses reading a one-series bar graph with a linear whole-number scale by finding the value of equal subdivisions and matching a named category to its bar endpoint. It scores exact scale reading, not counting pictures or interpreting the library story.
